Located within the Ritsona Industrial Zone, ERGO-PACK Ltd operates a 7,000 m² industrial facility — a modern reconditioning and recycling plant for industrial packaging, designed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.

Mechanical Equipment and Infrastructure

The company is equipped with specialized, advanced-technology machinery covering every stage of the recycling and reconditioning process, including:

  1. Washing line for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and plastic containers
  2. Washing line for steel drums
    •   Hot-water bath (55–60 °C for 6 minutes) for residue liquefaction
    •   Specialized pumps for residue extraction and collection
    • Semi-automatic high-pressure air press for drum reshaping and leak-tightness verification
    •   Drum rim reconditioning and label removal using rotating wire brushes
    • Internal and external washing stations using water-soluble, biodegradable detergents
    •   Drying oven operating at 60–65 °C
  1. Residue extraction system for containers and drums
  2. Automatic painting system for steel drums
    •   Automatic spray coating in a waterfall-type spray booth
    •   Thermal curing and polymerization chamber ensuring coating hardness and long-term durability
  1. Floor washing and drying machine
  2. Material recycling machine
  3. Biological wastewater treatment unit for safe liquid waste management
    •   Collection and chemical pre-treatment tank
    •   Sedimentation tank for solids separation
    •   Final filtration via sand filter and plate filter press
  1. Forklift trucks
  •   Safe and fast transport of drums, pallets, and IBCs

Recycling and Reconditioning Process

ERGO-PACK follows a certified, integrated process that ensures optimal utilization of each package and maximum environmental protection.

  1. Reception and Sorting
    •   Incoming used packaging undergoes thorough inspection and sorting
    •   Items unsuitable for reuse are directed to the mechanical shredder for material recycling
  1. Processing of Plastic Tanks and Drums
    •   Primary residue removal
    •   Internal and external cleaning
    •   Drying in specialized ovens
    •   Quality inspection to determine suitability for reuse
    •   Storage or recycling, depending on the result
  1. Processing of Steel Drums
    •   Residue extraction and external cleaning
    •   Drum reshaping and structural integrity check using high-pressure press
    •   Quality inspection and sorting
    •   External cleaning, drying, second-stage inspection, and sorting
    •   Automated coating and drying
    •   Final inspection and storage
  1. Processing of Wooden Pallets
    •   Quality inspection and repair where required
    •   Cleaning and final sorting
    •   Storage for reuse
  1. Wastewater Management
    •   All process effluents are directed to the biological wastewater treatment unit
    •   Full environmental protection and strict compliance with all regulatory requirements are ensured
